CELESTIAL SEASONINGS TEA

This is an awesome tea! I love green tea and when I can get my hands on white and green tea mixed it’s a done deal. With antioxidant that’s good for your body and health.Celestial Seasonings  tea is a very great brand and I would recommend this tea to those who are big tea drinkers like myself.
Breezy citrus sweetness reminiscent of old-fashioned lemonade, smooth blend of green tea and delicate Bai Mu Dan white tea- one of the rarest and youngest of teas.

RHOA Star Porsha Williams Getting The Ax

The rumor has it the Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams will be getting the ax. I think Porsha is a very beautiful woman with a great heart, but let's be real here...the girl is B-O-R-I-N-G! And I'm not being funny, I felt for her when Cordell ended their relationship on twitter. Like, who does that? He wasn't man enough to tell her face to face; nope, he went straight to social and told the whole world that he's ending his marriage. That's a very personal issue that's done behind closed doors and with some respect for the relationship as well as to that individual.
My heart went out to her for the way she's being treated, along with the way she found out that her marriage, that she felt and thought was fine...is over and everybody know your personal matter cause the life that you created is gone. No one should have to be put on blast like that in front of the world. That would make any woman want to commit a serious crime and it's not crime of passion either. Being who Porsha is, she handle the situation just like any woman would...move back home with mama.
Now this is where I have an issue with miss Williams, You are not a child anymore an though it's nice, enduring that mama is cooking for you and pampering you like a princess, which all mothers do for our daughters. But let's get real, You got a divorce and as hard and heartbreaking that maybe, girl, you have no kids by this man and free to live your life to the fullest. Pull yourself from your bootstraps and get the hell up off your ass and get your own. Mama will always be there, you don't need to be treated like a princess, but a grown woman.
This may be the very reason to why the powers that be at Bravo are on the fence to keep or toss you. You are just that boring. Nothing that Porsha does makes a big impact for the show to keep her on. Maybe if she got into a feud with enemy Kenya Moore, I think we may have something to watch without it being painfully to watch. Cynthia is more interesting...hell, Phaedra and her messiness is worthy to the show. Maybe it's just isn't in her nature to be ratchet and messy, that's why we watch these reality shows for the nonsense and drama.
Porsha Williams has NOT been fired from  "Real Housewives of Atlanta" ... she just may be on life support.  She will stay on the show for the current season and be part of the reunion special. It's been reported that Bravo is not THAT into her, because she's on the fence for next season.  Producers haven't decided whether they want to keep her or give her the ax.

My guess is that they'll wait till the reunion is taped before making their final decision. Porsha -- if they give you the pink slip, smile and start anew. Your beautiful, become a model or continue to model and build yourself a empire. Take notes from NeNe & Kenya...they have their shit together and you may not like Kenya, but she knows how to keep the streets talking good or bad.

Blame It On Vanity

image-432322388

I have loved this woman since I was a kid and to have the privilege of speaking with her on the phone during a prayer call was the best life changing moment in my life. But that only topples my signed copy of her autobiography. That is my pride and joy. I cried the day it came in the mail and I opened it and she had personally signed it. You will never know how much this book means to me. Looking forward to reading her book, I could wait, so I started reading and I couldn’t put it down. I cried, laughed, cursed, prayed, praised and thought, WOW! You never truly knows what demons people are fighting on a daily. I’ve seen my own demons and fighting them on your own is a big no no…you need help that no man can give. I’m so happy that she found Christ and turned her life over the Lord. Her story is a testament to the power of our Holy Father. Denise I’m your biggest fan and I love you more for your realness and honesty.

Denise Matthews is her birth name, I remembers her as the sultry lead singer of the girl group Vanity 6, along with Susan Moonsie and  Brenda Bennett. They hit the airwaves with the sexy smash; Nasty Girl. Man, I was hooked from that point. But I also know her by another name she went by when she was a model and actress (D.D. Winters).

She did a few films under that name. My favorite which is a real cult favorite among her fans…Tanya’s Island. I personally own that dvd. Maybe I’ll ask her to sign it. She was young and fresh faced that you can see that she had something different and unique; her timeless unique beauty is unmatched. I can see why Prince loved her.

Vanity went solo and released her solo smash hit Pretty Mess from her debut solo album Wild Animal. Child, I begged my mother to buy me that cd for months, and as a SHUT-YO-DAMN-MOUTH! I got it! I fell in love with the whole album. Her lyrics were very sexual not as much as they were with Vanity 6.  No matter I still bumped it and tried to be her.  She then later came out with her second and final album :(  Skin on Skin which I truly believe is her BEST album. It shows a completely different side to Vanity and she wrote all the lyrics.  A lot of people slept on this album, which was her best body of work. The video and single Under The Influence from the Skin on Skin album was in the top 100 billboard chart. My favorite songs are…Under the influence, Manhunt, Romantic Voyage & of course the title track Skin on Skin. Her style was fierce, sexy, classy, demure, sophisticated, glamorous, old Hollywood.

Before there was ever a Beyoncé, Rihanna, there was VANITY the GRAND DAME herself.
VANITY ARCHIVE
After Skin on Skin, Denise over the next decade continued her work in film and television — usually keeping well inside the bounds of the action/thriller genre with which she had now become associated. Appearances in Deadly Illusion (1987), Action Jackson (1988), South Beach (1992), Neon City (1992) and Da Vinci’s War (1993) maintained her presence on the big screen, supplemented by roles in the television movies Memories of Murder (1990) and Lady Boss (1992) and series such as Miami Vice, Mike Hammer, Tales from the Crypt, Silk Stockings, Friday the 13th the series and Highlander. Over the years Denise’s extensive drug abuse had taken a serious toll on her health (causing damage to her liver, eyesight and hearing, and eventually resulting in a heart attack), and following her involvement in the low-budget thriller  Kiss of Death in 1995 she announced that she had been born again and was formally renouncing the hedonistic lifestyle of her past which is Vanity. All ties with the entertainment industry were abandoned, and the former “Vanity” subsequently established her own evangelical ministry.

Her book Blame It On Vanity Hollywood, Hell & Heaven will make you laugh, cry, praise, and rejoice. Denise takes you on a journey into her humble beginnings, and walking you through her most intimate moments of her life. I couldn’t put the book down, it was that kind of …WOW!  OMG! moments and to think that the woman that I admired since my childhood was broken, abused and unloved. I never would have thought she was going through the things she went through. God is alive and very real, to raise her from what was her death bed, she’s here to tell her story and give you her testimony that God is real and so is the devil. She danced the devil’s dance, to sing god’s praises. Blessings comes to those who are open to receive his grace, love, mercy. I love her for being transparent and honest. Who really can tell your story better than you. I love Denise more now as who God has called her to be. I love Vanity as well, for she embodied empowerment for women. Not to be afraid your sexuality and embrace your femininity  and love yourself. I don’t think Vanity was all bad, she had her moments, but I guess it’s the demons we don’t see that can fool you.

“Prior to finding my Lord and Savior I lived in the bottomless pit playground of Hollywood deceit. Lifting me higher and dropping me like a steel beam, Lust, Rock n’ Roll accompanied with drug use, lifted me higher and dropped me like a steel beam.” Sinking down into deep depression I camouflaged my pain with even more makeup and a fake smile”.
“With the devil breathing down my neck, trying desperately to snatch and strangle me for hell, I repented. Yes one sweet day my Jesus reached down with his long extended love and pulled my wretched body up from the darkness. Him only do I seek with a tremendous blast of fiery passion. I live, move, breath, love and have my being in Jesus The Christ. Enslaved to His truth” ~Denise Matthews

COVERGIRL QUEEN COLLECTION NATURAL HUE

image
I’ve tried alot of foundations in my time and some are worthy to be praised, while others aren’t worrhy to be in your prensence. Then there are a few that will make you want to smack yo mama (just joking, don’t smack mama and get hurt).
I have never tried any CoverGirl foundations, for they lack shades for women of color. Just like Revlon does. Women of color may need about 2-3 different shades to match our own natural shade.
image
While I was out replenshing on my foundation, I was going to pick up my trusty Revlon Photo Ready or Maybellines Fit Me foundations, I’ve mixed those two together and got awesome results. In my haste shopping along side my husband I just grabbed any foundarion that was sitting in my face. Needless to say I wasn’t feeling what I purchased, but since it’s all I have may as well bound with my purchase.
image
I have the CoverGirl QUEEN COLLECTION Natural Hue Foundation in Q730 warm caramel
Now, for anyone whose tried this please share your thoughts. I was very surprised at this foundation
and the fact it looks great against my skin. YAY! FOUND A TRUE MATCH! Oil-free, won’t be clogging up my pores. Moisturinzing that helps improve condition of your skin, continuous hydration all day, skin feels soft and smooth. It works the moment you apply it. In the end a soft, smooth healthy even finish. You’ll feel like your wearing nothing. It’s 30ml (1oz) small bottle. Cost for this was $4.98 at my local Walgreens.
If you haven’t tried this foundation, please do so many shades to chose from and you’ll love the results I do and I may have a NEW LOVE for CoverGirl.

Life & Times of Nelson Mandela

Image

   July 18, 1918-December 5, 2013

Rolihlahla Mandela was born into the Madiba clan in Mvezo, Transkei, on July 18, 1918, to Nonqaphi Nosekeni and Nkosi Mphakanyiswa Gadla Mandela, principal counselor to the Acting King of the Thembu people, Jongintaba Dalindyebo.
His father died when he was a child and the young Rolihlahla became a ward of Jongintaba at the Great Place in Mqhekezweni. Hearing the elder’s stories of his ancestor’s valour during the wars of resistance, he dreamed also of making his own contribution to the freedom struggle of his people.
He attended primary school in Qunu where his teacher Miss Mdingane gave him the name Nelson, in accordance with the custom to give all school children “Christian” names.
He completed his Junior Certificate at Clarkebury Boarding Institute and went on to Healdtown, a Wesleyan secondary school of some repute, where he matriculated.
Nelson Mandela began his studies for a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University College of Fort Hare but did not complete the degree there as he was expelled for joining in a student protest. He completed his BA through the University of South Africa and went back to Fort Hare for his graduation in 1943.
On his return to the Great Place at Mkhekezweni the King was furious and said if he didn’t return to Fort Hare he would arrange wives for him and his cousin Justice. They ran away to Johannesburg instead arriving there in 1941. There he worked as a mine security officer and after meeting Walter Sisulu, an estate agent, who introduced him to Lazar Sidelsky. He then did his articles through the firm of attorneys Witkin Eidelman and Sidelsky.
Meanwhile he began studying for an LLB at the University of the Witwatersrand. By his own admission he was a poor student and left the university in 1948 without graduating. He only started studying again through the University of London and also did not complete that degree.
In 1989, while in the last months of his imprisonment, he obtained an LLB through the University of South Africa. He graduated in absentia at a ceremony in Cape Town.
Nelson Mandela, while increasingly politically involved from 1942, only joined the African National Congress in 1944 when he helped formed the ANC Youth League.
In 1944 he married Walter Sisulu’s cousin Evelyn Mase, a nurse. They had two sons Madiba Thembekile ‘Thembi’ and Makgatho and two daughters both called Makaziwe, the first of whom died in infancy. They effectively separated in 1955 and divorced in 1958.
Nelson Mandela rose through the ranks of the ANCYL and through its work the ANC adopted in 1949 a more radical mass-based policy, the Programme of Action.
In 1952 he was chosen at the National Volunteer-in-Chief of the Defiance Campaign with Maulvi Cachalia as his Deputy. This campaign of civil disobedience against six unjust laws was a joint programme between the ANC and the South African Indian Congress. He and 19 others were charged under the Suppression of Communism Act for their part in the campaign and sentenced to nine months hard labour suspended for two years.
A two-year diploma in law on top of his BA allowed Nelson Mandela to practice law and in August 1952 he and Oliver Tambo established South Africa’s first black law firm, Mandela and Tambo.
At the end of 1952 he was banned for the first time. As a restricted person he was only able to secretly watch as the Freedom Charter was adopted at Kliptown on 26 June 1955.
Nelson Mandela was arrested in a countrywide police swoop of 156 activists on 5 December 1955, which led to the 1956 Treason Trial. Men and women of all races found themselves in the dock in the marathon trial that only ended when the last 28 accused, including Mr. Mandela were acquitted on 29 March 1961.
On 21 March 1960 police killed 69 unarmed people in a protest at Sharpeville against the pass laws. This led to the country’s first state of emergency on 31 March and the banning of the ANC and the Pan Africanist Congress on 8 April. Nelson Mandela and his colleagues in the Treason Trial were among the thousands detained during the state of emergency.
During the trial on 14 June 1958 Nelson Mandela married a social worker Winnie Madikizela. They had two daughters Zenani and Zindziswa. The couple divorced in 1996.
Days before the end of the Treason Trial Nelson Mandela travelled to Pietermaritzburg to speak at the All-in Africa Conference, which resolved he should write to Prime Minister Verwoerd requesting a non-racial national convention, and to warn that should he not agree there would be a national strike against South Africa becoming a republic. As soon as he and his colleagues were acquitted in the Treason Trial Nelson Mandela went underground and began planning a national strike for 29, 30 and 31 March. In the face of a massive mobilization of state security the strike was called off early. In June 1961 he was asked to lead the armed struggle and helped to establish Umkhonto weSizwe (Spear of the Nation).
On 11 January 1962 using the adopted name David Motsamayi, Nelson Mandela left South Africa secretly. He travelled around Africa and visited England to gain support for the armed struggle. He received military training in Morocco and Ethiopia and returned to South Africa in July 1962. He was arrested in a police roadblock outside Howick on 5 August while returning from KwaZulu-Natal where he briefed ANC President Chief Albert Luthuli about his trip.
He was charged with leaving the country illegally and inciting workers to strike. He was convicted and sentenced to five years imprisonment which he began serving in Pretoria Local Prison. On 27 May 1963 he was transferred to Robben Island and returned to Pretoria on 12 June. Within a month police raided a secret hide-out in Rivonia used by ANC and Communist Party activists and several of his comrades were arrested.
In October 1963 Nelson Mandela joined nine others on trial for sabotage in what became known as the Rivonia Trial.  Facing the death penalty his words to the court at the end of his famous ‘Speech from the Dock’ on 20 April 1964 became immortalized:
“I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”
On 11 June 1964 Nelson Mandela and seven other accused Walter Sisulu, Ahmed Kathrada, Govan Mbeki, Raymond Mhlaba, Denis Goldberg, Elias Motsoaledi and Andrew Mlangeni were convicted and the next day were sentenced to life imprisonment. Denis Goldberg was sent to Pretoria Prison because he was white while the others went to Robben Island.
Nelson Mandela’s mother died in 1968 and his eldest son Thembi in 1969. He was not allowed to attend their funerals.
On 31 March 1982 Nelson Mandela was transferred to Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town with Sisulu, Mhlaba and Mlangeni. Kathrada joined them in October. When he returned to the prison in November 1985 after prostate surgery Nelson Mandela was held alone. Justice Minister Kobie Coetsee had visited him in hospital. Later Nelson Mandela initiated talks about an ultimate meeting between the apartheid government and the ANC.
In 1988 he was treated for Tuberculosis and was transferred on 7 December 1988 to a house at Victor Verster Prison near Paarl. He was released from its gates on Sunday 11 February 1990, nine days after the unbanning of the ANC and the PAC and nearly four months after the release of the remaining Rivonia comrades. Throughout his imprisonment he had rejected at least three conditional offers of release.
Nelson Mandela immersed himself into official talks to end white minority rule and in 1991 was elected ANC President to replace his ailing friend Oliver Tambo. In 1993 he and President FW de Klerk jointly won the Nobel Peace Prize and on 27 April 1994 he voted for the first time in his life.
On 10 May 1994 he was inaugurated South Africa’s first democratically elected President. On his 80th birthday in 1998 he married Graça Machel, his third wife.
True to his promise Nelson Mandela stepped down in 1999 after one term as President. He continued to work with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund he set up in 1995 and established the Nelson Mandela Foundation and The Mandela-Rhodes Foundation.
In April 2007 his grandson Mandla Mandela became head of the Mvezo Traditional Council at a ceremony at the Mvezo Great Place.
Nelson Mandela never wavered in his devotion to democracy, equality and learning. Despite terrible provocation, he never answered racism with racism. His life has been an inspiration to all who are oppressed and deprived, to all who are opposed to oppression and deprivation.

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson fired from hits

WHOLE THE DUCK UP!!!! The patriarch of A&E’s Duck Dynasty  Phil Robertson,  has been put on indefinite suspension by the cable network after an interview he gave to GQ magazine in which he called homosexuality a sin and compared it to having sex with animals. In an recent interview published in January’s GQ Magazine Phil went on record with  about the sinfulness of gays.

Robertson sounds off on what’s ailing the country during a trip through the Louisiana backwoods. “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he tells reporter Drew Magary. “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

He also muses rather colorfully about his own sexual orientation: “It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
What happened to FREEDOM OF SPEECH? It’s so funny that americans get their panties in a bunch when Christians speak out against wrong doing. Let’s face it, Phil hasn’t said anything that wasn’t true we all can have our own views and it’s wrong to share those views when it’s not political correct. I’m a christian, and I stand on my word, that doesn’t mean that I’m homophobic. I love everyone and I don’t hate people for what they believe, but christians always get a bad rap, cause of our views.
We live in a world where everything is accepted and we turn our backs on what’s right just to make others feel better. It’s ok for gays to be vocal about their lifestyle and it’s fine and acceptable in the worlds eyes. everyone should be free to speak their minds and not have to defend their values or morals. Phil, you said what was on your heart and you spoke truth, the ememy dosen’t like God’s truth to be told. We live in a very wicked twisted world where wrong is right and right is wrong.

Benefits Of Oatmeal For The Skin

Oatmeal Flakes
Oatmeal isn't just a breakfast food to help start your day, it's so much more than that. Did you know that the grainy little flakes perform deliciously mini miracles when applied to your skin? Oatmeal removes away dead cells, irritation, dryness and redness, leaving a soft, smooth, silky glow behind.
Oatmeal has long been a staple among the beauty & skin pros -- even the ancient ones. It's skin-soothing powers were known as early as 2000 BC, and to this day, the FDA cites it as effective for eczema and inflammation, including insect stings, rashes, and eczema. My family will be happy to hear and know this. That's why finely powdered ("colloidal") oatmeal is sifted into soothing body soaks, scrubs, bath bombs, moisturizers, and soaps. (Pulverizing the oats into powder makes it easier to disperse their healing goodness -- and in soaks and bombs it keeps them from collecting in the bottom of the tub. AWESOME!

Oatmeal Milk & Honey Bath Bomb

Four Reasons Why Your Skin Worships Oatmeal.
1. Fight Dryness: Oats contain polysaccharides, which become gelatinous in water and leave a fine protective film on the skin, preventing dull and dryness.
2. Moisturizing: Oats are full of healthy, lubricating fats.
3. Defense Building: The proteins in oatmeal help maintain the skin's natural barrier function, which ensures that the world outside the skin stays out, and what's inside the skin stays in.
4. Pore Cleansing: Oats are filled with natural cleansers (called saponins) that gently remove dirt and oil from the pores.

To reap all of these AMAZINGLY great benefits, start treating your skin to a colloidal oatmeal mask every week or two. (Heck, why not spoil yourself rotten) Here's a super simple recipe -- bet you already have these ingredients in your kitchen.

Deliciously Soothing Oatmeal Mask
2 tablespoons old-fashioned oats
2 tablespoons hot water
1/2 tablespoon honey
1. Put the oats into a clean herb or coffee grinder on the finest setting, and process into powder.
2. Pour into a small bowl and stir in hot water and honey. Let stand for 5 minutes.
3. Wash face with warm water. While skin is still damp, massage paste onto face, circling around eyes and mouth. Leave on for 10 minutes.
4. Remove with water and a washcloth. Apply your favorite moisturizer to seal in the moisture.
